AND COUNTING

Sprinkles opened the world’s first cupcake bakery in Beverly Hills and has since inspired long lines of devoted Hollywood stars and serious epicureans alike. Built from the notion that dessert should be a daily indulgence, Sprinkles revolutionized the dessert industry, creating a vertical that had not previously existed – cupcake bakeries. As copycat bakeries proliferated, Sprinkles always remained a step ahead through continuous innovation. Its Cupcake ATM and Sprinklesmobile were the first of their kind, drawing worldwide attention and buzz. Sprinkles continued its foray into classic American desserts with the launch of Sprinkles Ice Cream & Cookies and “The Sprinkles Baking Book” earned a coveted spot on the New York Times Best Seller list.

“After graduating from pastry school, I began a custom cake business out of my home. I came to realize that special occasion cakes were, by definition, rare orders. Having been brought up in the tradition that dessert should be a daily indulgence, I began to focus on elevating the often-overlooked cupcake.”
